Tabernacle Folk (2010 – 2013)
Tabernacle, Notting Hill
A progressive, commissioning London festival, extending the barriers and limits of Folk via Classical, Contemporary, Blues, Jazz and Carnival influences, while keeping it people’s music, but of the highest quality.
Every Spring, over four years, leading musicians gathered together at the Tabernacle, Notting Hill – culminating in Tabernacle Folk 2013 which premiered eight extraordinary works.
Sheer musical brilliance, but without the preening or glamour.
Johanna Derry, le cool magazine
A really lovely festival
Sushil Dade, BBC Radio music producer
Life affirming experiences like this are the reason I became a musician. The whole experience was quite magical.
John Crawford, pianist
It will live on in the memories of the privileged who were there.
